Cerise Aureville (He/Him) - Primal - Lamia

The Primal Obliterator of the Seventh Dawn: The Scion's Best Weapon and Worst Enemy

Image Colour Dye: Cherry Pink
Main Class: PLD

Exploring the concept of "What if the Warrior of Light was just, like, the worst fucking dude in the world?"

Talents:
-His Echo manifests in a nigh-inhuman perception and reaction time, allowing him to see every slight movement that betrays a foe's actions and escaping combat mostly unscathed (he can see the aoes basically). Basically, he was born to be a Primal Killer. :^).
-Extremely shrewd Businessman, very on top of political tensions and significantly better than Alphie at all that negotiation stuff (sorry Alphie).
-Rich? (being rich isn't a talent)
Flaws:
-He's just the most insufferable bastard in the world. Like really. He's completely irredeemable.
-Profits off of the subjugation of the poor by the rich. He's just the worst.
-He has no human friends or connections (because see above)
-Would leave the Scions to die if he thought it would help him (fortunately, he sees great value in an organization of echo users and that's not on the table. yet)
-Doesn't like Alphinaud (horrible)

Cerise knew from the very moment he came into life that one day, he would leave Othard and the Veena way of life.As a child, he quickly gained a sharp tongue and a taste for the finer things in life, to the utter dismay of his clansmates. While he did show proficiency in sword-based combat and a near-godlike reaction time, he acted as if such things were beneath him, and refused outright to participate in hunting drills and other coming-of-age Viera activities. "Cerise would rather stay inside looking at rocks and jewels," bemoaned the caretaker in charge of him. "What a waste of such promising athleticism."He was never popular, and Leporine hearing is quite acute, so there were no mistaking the soft whispers of others around him, praying that he would be male and therefore never to set foot in the village again.Fortunately for everyone involved, he did in fact end up male. Eager to get away from the encroaching empire and the boring, unforgiving solitude of the role expected from him, he left the forest on the very day he turned 13 summers, and not a single one of his clansmates looked back.Stowing away on a ship bound for Eorzea, he quickly made his way to the capital of Thanalan, longing to be among his fellows of business and expensive tastes. Due to the people of Eorzea's unfamiliarity with Viera, he was able to pass himself off as an adult from the getgo and open a small business nestled right in the heart of Ul'dah. With his cunning nature, lack of most morals, and nigh inhuman ability to read people's intentions (an ability he would later attribute to the Echo), he began offering less than scrupulous yet extremely profitable services involving destruction of evidence and the like, all under the guise of a detective agency. Such a risk-free, essential service for the insanely wealthy and corrupt populace made him a success overnight, causing a whole cacophony of businessmen and nobles to fall over themselves begging for his services. He'd become extremely wealthy off of the misfortunes of others, and he showed no signs of slowing down. That is, until, a client came in with frenzied reports of a masked shadowy figure lurking around in the desert...

The Seat of Azem: PlutusPlutus was a relatively laid-back adventurer by trade, but he was employed directly by and fiercely loyal to a large banking firm in Amaurot. He was known to disappear for months at a time to go on long journeys, going above and beyond to secure trade routes, agreements, and valuable materials for naught but their growth and profit. Those who interacted with him long-term described him as "easy to get along with, as long as you don't try to compete with him and ignore the fact that every word he says carries ulterior motives."His weapon of choice was a simple short sword and shield, and he did not wield magic often, finding it too flashy for his liking. Due to his status as a solo adventurer, however, he was essentially forced to become proficient in what would come to be known in Eorzea as holy magic to keep himself alive.Between him and Venat employing a similar fighting style (one which they worked out together after Plutus ascended to his seat), the image of a loyal adventurer wielding a sword, shield, and brilliant light magicks became solidified in the minds of the ancients, which carried over to the sundered worlds in turn.Despite doing it for less than noble reasons, it was his experience in traveling and interacting with the general populace that caught the Convocation's eye once the seat of Azem was in need of filling. Smelling a payraise, further freedom to do what he pleased, and access to government secrets, he accepted on the spot. His rejection of the Zodiark Summons was uncomplicated: there was nothing in it for him for such a heavy price. Venat was always a bit disappointed in him for it, but as long as he didn't try and stop her own summoning, he was free to do what he wished. While his laid-back and general charming personality got completely lost in Cerise, the Viera's penchant for Paladin swordsmanship, competitive streak, and love for moneymaking is a direct echo of who Plutus used to be.It makes Emet sad, because his friend is such an asshole now.
